Happy New Year 2026!
As the year draws to a close, we look back at 2025. Much has happened in the world – including, unfortunately, some disturbing events. Rights we have fought for over many years are threatened in many places. Pride events are being obstructed or even banned. There is hostility, hate speech, and attacks against queer people. And this is happening not only in foreign countries, but also right here at home.
Rheinfetisch tries to make a contribution here. Through participation in committees, networking with other associations and organizations, by raising the profile of the fetish community in particular, and ultimately through events for meeting and exchanging ideas, or even for making initial contact.
The board of Rheinfetisch wishes all members and friends of our club all the best for the new year 2026!

Rhine Fetish Dates 2026
A first draft for the Rhine Fetish dates 2026 is complete.
Look forward to 16 socials in Cologne and at the major fetish events, activities ranging from bowling to photoshoots, COLOURcode, Cologne Fetish Pride, and the Cologne Pride Boat. In January, we'll attend your session – but this doesn't have to be the only shared cultural activity. Two fetish flea markets offer opportunities to buy and sell. The new Fetish Only Party is still missing – we'll add it as soon as the location and dates are confirmed.

Welt–AIDS–Tag
Today we remember.
Today we are taking a stand.
Today we stand visibly and loudly for solidarity, respect and enlightenment.
HIV isn't over – but fear, stigma, and silence should have been long ago. Thanks to modern medicine, people with HIV can now lead long, healthy lives. U = U means: undetectable = not transmissible. Love and intimacy don't need space for fear, but for knowledge.
As Rheinfetisch e. V., we are committed all year round to a strong, self-determined community – free from prejudice and supported by solidarity. Especially today!
For those we have lost.
For those living with HIV.
For those who educate, support, and fight every day.
For a future without stigma.

Rhine Fetish Christmas Market Social
As so often this year, the weather was kind to us for the Christmas market social event: the magical, persistent winter rain made us snuggle up together in the Santa Claus village with mulled wine and speculoos. Also present: Mr. Fetish NRW 2025 Timmy and Mr. Fetish Europe 2026 Christian.
And yet, at some point we did make our way to the Christmas market at St. Aposteln and the Market of Angels on Neumarkt – including a stop at the nativity scene from Knollendorf. Three stops – a new record.
The afterglow at construction site 4U remained undocumented and uncommented upon.

Mr. Fetish Europe 2026 Christian
As part of Maspalomas Fetish Pride 2025, Mr. Fetish Europe has been chosen for several years. We are happy, proud, and grateful that this year our Christian was chosen by the jury and the audience. Mr. Fetish Europe 2026 He was elected. Rheinfetisch members, board members and friends congratulate him wholeheartedly.
We wish him all the best for his term in office; success with his projects, exciting travels, interesting encounters and new friends – and to use the time for himself and the community!

Fetish Party by Rheinfetisch Survey
What additional things could Rheinfetisch offer its members and the fetish community? In our survey at the beginning of 2025, many expressed a desire for a fetish party.
We'd like to tackle that. We've already considered it and held discussions. And we have a brief Online survey> Created to accurately understand wishes and expectations for the party.
We look forward to your feedback and suggestions until October 12th.

MLC Oktoberfest Meeting 2025
What a fun!*, the Oktoberfest meeting 2025 of our LFC partner club Münchner Löwen Club MLC!
Guided tour of the Oktoberfest grounds, BLUF Dinner, Löwenbrunch, flea market, this and that in the underground – and of course, as the undisputed highlight, GaySunday in the Bräurosl.
Rheinfetisch was there with many members and our Mr. Fetish NRW 2025, Timmy, right in the thick of things. Many thanks to the MLC for the hospitality and perfect organization!

Rhine Fetish Photoshoot 2025
On election Sunday, almost 20 Rheinfetisch members and partners met at the South Bridge in Cologne and spent over 3 hours in front of and behind the camera.
Perfect weather for photos, a great atmosphere, and delicious ice cream made the time fly by. The result is hundreds of fantastic pictures: individually, in small groups, or with everyone together; carefully arranged or spontaneous snapshots.

R(h)einPuppy e.V.
There was exciting news at the Kinky Pub Crawl: the founding of a new association for the puppy community in Cologne: R(h)einPuppy eV
The club emerged from a group of experienced pub players. The board consists of Tim Aramis, Steven Banshi, and Matthias Dexter.
Their goal is to create an open, safe, and vibrant community for all puppy players and enthusiasts in Cologne and the surrounding area. They organize regular meetups and exciting events, and advocate for the promotion and acceptance of puppy play. The focus is on the fun of playing together, sharing experiences, and strengthening the unique puppy subculture.

Rhine Fetish Summer Barbecue
The postponement of the Rheinfetisch summer barbecue was worth it: in beautiful weather, over 30 members and partners met in Cologne in the green belt on Venloer Straße.
Our grill masters Bernhard and Theo kept the grill blazing, and there were loads of delicious homemade side dishes, breads, pastries, and desserts. And there were cold drinks too.
A wonderful Sunday afternoon... and evening: we didn't pack up until 9:30. The photo gallery gives you a small impression.

Cologne Fetish Pride 2026
The Cologne Fetish Pride 2026> will take place – traditionally at Pentecost – in three-quarters of a year, from May 21st to 25th, 2026.
Rheinfetisch and our partners have planned a wide variety of events: Welcome, Dinner, Meet & Greet, Socials & Pub Crawls, Sightseeing, Parties, Shopping Events, Workshops, an open discussion, and finally, the Fetish Brunch. A highlight will be the election of the
Mr. Fetish NRW 2026> on board the Fetish Boat.
The flyers have been printed and will be available at many locations in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, as well as at selected locations in Europe and at major fetish events.

Cologne Pride 2025
The biggest events in Cologne? Carnival and Christopher Street Day (CSD). From July 4th to 6th, Cologne's CSD reaches its climax and conclusion with a street festival and demonstration. Rheinfetisch is there as part of the Fetish Network NRW.
From Friday to Sunday, we'll have a joint stand (P12) at the street festival on Pipinstraße, conveniently located near the bars. Visit us Friday from 4:00 PM, Saturday from 12:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM – each day until closing time. And don't miss the meet & greet with over 15 national and international titleholders on Friday at 7:00 PM.

On Sunday we will participate in the demonstration with a joint walking group with starting number 20 – for the 20th anniversary of Rheinfetisch.
We'll start in assembly zone 1. This will likely be near Kennedyplatz, on the approach to the Deutz Bridge. Our time window for starting is between 11:30 and 12:00 – so please be at the assembly point no later than 11:00. Our group will again be led by the titleholders with our banner, 'Many Fetishes – One Community'. If you'd like to show your support, we'll have club and Fetish Pride flags as well as signs for the demonstration. SUB's sound system will provide the music – feel free to bring along pump-action shotguns and bubble machines. Please also remember to bring drinks and rain gear.
Everyone is warmly invited to join our walking group – whether a member of one of the clubs or not, whether wearing fetish gear or not. Registration is not required.
After the demonstration, we will be on the Alter Markt stage at 4:00 PM with the talk “What is Fetish?”.

CSD Düsseldorf
Love unites – hate destroys. Rheinfetisch, as part of the Fetish Network NRW, will be participating in CSD Düsseldorf on June 21st and 22nd.
We'll have a joint stand at the street festival on Johannes-Rau-Platz on both Saturday and Sunday. For the demonstration on Saturday, we'll be group #45. We'll assemble at Graf-Adolf-Platz starting at 11:30 a.m., the demonstration begins at 1 p.m., and we'll meet at the stand afterwards.
At 5:30 pm we will be giving a talk entitled “What is Fetish?” on the talk and art stage on the Rhine river promenade.

Mr. Fetish NRW 2025
During the Pentecost weekend, as part of the Cologne Fetish Pride 2025 Mr. Fetish NRW has been chosen. Three impressive candidates – Carsten, Marcel and Timmy – stood for election, this year through a combination of online voting and the traditional election on the Fetish Boat on Pentecost Sunday.

Timmy BöhmOriginally from Berlin, he has lived in Cologne for eight years. He enjoys wearing leather, rubber, PVC, and workwear, combining different fetishes and experimenting with various play styles. He is a member of the SUB association for gay subculture as well as Rheinfetisch. There, he actively promotes networking within the Leather & Fetish Community (LFC) and fetish networks.

The organizations responsible for organizing Bielefeld Pride have banned the groups Puppy OWL and Leather Social Bielefeld from participating in the demonstration and street festival. This is justified by the lack of a "consensus concept".
This decision reveals a blatant lack of understanding—or disinterest—in the topic of fetishism within queer contexts. The claim of being aware of the close connections between "fetishism, role-playing, and Pride" sounds like a mere platitude in light of the ban. Apparently, fetishism is once again being reduced to sexuality—a relapse into the very reductive and stigmatizing notions that queer movements are supposed to be fighting against.
Neither of the excluded groups is sexually oriented in any way. Their goal is visibility and education about queer diversity – a political concern that should be a given at a Pride parade. That this very commitment leads to disqualification is paradoxical and shameful.
The special treatment is particularly irritating: only fetish groups are required to submit a so-called consensus concept – for the first time this year. What is different in Bielefeld that – unlike other (large) Christopher Street Days – the legal regulations or uniform rules for all participants don't simply apply? What is expected of the participating groups in a "consensus concept"? Isn't a concept for "dealing with power structures, discrimination, and sexualized violence" at the event primarily the responsibility of the organizer?
In a three-and-a-half-page
Contextualization of the participation condition> The organizers speak at length about solidarity, visibility, and collectively breaking down taboos. And then they exclude precisely those who are marginalized in multiple ways – including by the queer majority society itself.
Ultimately, the organizers contradict their own statements: "The divide between 'us' and 'them' is growing ever wider," "We must stand together and not forget that taking a stand begins in everyday life," "Every conversation helps to... make injustices visible." This isn't Pride – it's gatekeeping with a rainbow flag.

IDAHOBIT 2025
On May 17, 2025, IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia, was held under the motto "The Power of Togetherness." In over 130 countries, people were reminded to combat discrimination and actively celebrate diversity.
On May 17, 2025, several hundred people gathered at Rudolfplatz in Cologne to mark IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia, and to take a stand against discrimination, hatred, and incitement. In impassioned, thoughtful, and also uplifting speeches and musical performances, current—often negative—developments were addressed.
And initiatives to counteract this were presented – including #reportnottobear and #neversilentagain. Our thanks go to the organizers, speakers, and all participants.

Rhine Fetish 20th Anniversaryry Social
This year Rheinfetisch celebrates its 20th anniversary. On the exact day of its founding, April 23rd, members and friends met at KinkZ for an anniversary social.
And what a cool social it was! Cool members, cool guests, cool location (and cool weather)! Seven of our Mr. Fetish NRW titleholders from the past 18 years graced us with their presence. Special thanks to the guys from KinkZ for the warm welcome and perfect hospitality!

Thirty members came together for the Rheinfetisch general meeting in 2025 and looked back on the year 2024, discussed the results of the online survey and plans for 2025, and adopted changes to the statutes from a board with fixed tasks to an executive board consisting of a maximum of 5 equal members.
We thank the participants for their active participation and the 4U construction site for their warm hospitality.

Changes to the board of directors
Effective January 1st, our chairman has resigned.
Stefan Casper (left) determined to resign from his post. He says:
"Even though I am finally retiring from active board work after 15 years, I will remain loyal to the club and will be available to the board with advice (but less hands-on involvement). I am proud that I was able to help shape the club during my time on the board and contribute to making it what it is today. But successful board work would not be possible without the members. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the goodwill and trust you have always shown me over the years. I wish the board continued success and hope that you, as members, will continue to support them in the future."
Treasurer
Richard Fischer He will become the managing chairman of the board; the other positions will remain unchanged. The final distribution of responsibilities will be discussed at the upcoming general meeting.
We sincerely thank Stefan for his many years of dedicated service to the club as a member and chairman of the board.
